An honor guard including members of the of the Reserve Officers Training Corps participated in Harvard's commemoration of Veterans Day.  The honor guard included Harvard alumni Veterans as well as leaders and undergraduates in the Paul Revere battalion of ROTC, which includes Harvard's ROTC cadets.
The observance was held on Sunday November 11th 2001 in Memorial Church in Harvard Yard.  Reverend Peter J. Gomes, the Plummer Professor of Christian Morals at Harvard and Minister of Memorial Church, invited the ROTC battalion to participate.  The cadets laid a wreath of laurel in the Memorial Room in memory of the Harvard dead of all wars.
The attendance of ROTC cadets at the service was mentioned in an article in the Harvard Crimson, in which ROTC cadet Alejandro G. Ruiz 05 was interviewed.
